On May 26 presidential elections were held in Syria. Bashar al-Assad, who has been president since 2000, was elected to another seven-year term with 95.1% of the vote. An important achievement of Bashar al-Assad is that his level of support from the population, based on the results of the election, has increased compared to 2014: at that time, about 88% of Syrians attending election polls voted for him. Today, according to many in Syria and abroad, Bashar al-Assad’s victory in the Syrian presidential election is the result of the fortitude shown by the politician and his officials.

These results, as a matter of fact, far exceed the percentage of voters who supported Joseph Biden in the last US presidential election. Not to mention the fact that many Americans are still demanding a review of the presidential election results, particularly in several key states — Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — where Joe Biden won, as evidenced by the recent lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Recall that there were two other candidates for the post of president of Syria: Mahmoud Marei of the Democratic Arab Socialist Union and Abdullah Abdullah of the Socialist Unionist Party. Even before the election, Bashar al-Assad’s rivals acknowledged that it would not be easy to beat the current head of state, since Assad’s clear support is evidenced by his decision to end the war in the country and to eliminate the radical Islamist groups that were terrorizing Syria.

Bashar al-Assad, who won the presidential elections, signaled the beginning of a new era of reconstruction in the country’s history. “Thank you to all Syrians for their high sense of nationalism and their notable participation,” Assad said in a message published by his campaign headquarters on Telegram. The president also paid tribute to the Syrians who perished, without whom “Syria would not exist,“ and wished recovery to the wounded.

According to official data, voting took place in all provinces without violations. According to the Syrian Electoral Commission, approximately 13.5 million Syrian citizens voted for Assad and about 74.6% of voters took part in the elections. Many Syrian citizens could not participate in the presidential election because they live in territories controlled by the militants. For example, the northern and western regions of SAR, including parts of Idlib province.

Today the SAR authorities control most key regions of the country and have set up 12,000 polling stations there. Even Bashar al-Assad’s choice of polling station was symbolic: the city of Duma, where the first anti-government protests erupted ten years ago. Two years ago, with Russian mediation, the city returned to Damascus, and the militants of Jaysh al-Islam (banned in Russia) laid down their weapons and withdrew north to Idlib. At present, the province is relatively peaceful.

The election process was not without provocations organized by clear opponents of the current government in Damascus and with “external support”. For instance, even in the south of the country, held directly by government forces, provocateurs attempted to hang anti-government posters, and in the cities of Tafas and Jasim “activists“ tried to organize protests. Leaders of the Kurdish formations of the Syrian Democratic Forces, under US control and concentrated mainly in the northeast, forbade residents in territories under their control to participate in elections. Only the towns of Al-Hasakah and Al-Qamishli were able to vote, and therefore the election commission recognized the elections in these regions as only partially valid. The towns of Ras al-Ayn and Tell Abyad in the northern Idlib province, which is part of the Turkish and anti-Assad groups’ area of responsibility, refused to equip polling stations.

In Lebanon, the polling stations did open, but not all local Syrians were able to exercise the right to vote. Special units of the Lebanese army put a stop to the May 27 clashes that broke out between local Sunnis and Alawites in the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon. The interests of the Alawites, who make up 12% of the city’s residents, are expressed by the pro-Syrian Arab Democratic Party (ADP). -Among Sunnis, there are strong Islamist positions, who, at the height of the crisis in Syria, supported opposition formations.

The Syrian refugees were not allowed to vote either in Turkey (over 6.5 million SAR citizens there) nor in Europe. Meanwhile, the US, Germany, France, Britain and Italy refused in advance to recognize the legitimacy of the elections, issuing a joint provocative statement the day before calling “not to allow Assad to retain power”.

Now, many countries of the world are divided on whether or not to recognize the results of the elections in the Syrian Arab Republic. The Russian Federation acknowledged the results of the elections in Syria, congratulating Bashar al-Assad on his convincing victory. Accordingly, there is no doubt that the West will use the results of the elections to further undermine the international position of the Syrian Arab Republic and further destabilize the internal situation in the country.

Following clear instructions from Washington, including during recent contacts between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Josep Borrell, head of EU diplomacy, the European Union refused to recognize the results of the elections in Syria. European officials said that the presidential elections in Syria “were neither free nor democratic”. This interpretation, in particular, was used by Josep Borrell, according to whom “what has happened in Syria will not contribute to the normalization of the situation and improve relations with the EU countries.” It appears that the European Union is actually ignoring the opinion of the majority of Syrian citizens!

Another rather regrettable fact that attracts the attention is that in their desire to serve Washington as much as possible, Josep Borrell and other European officials do not say a word about the illegal presence of American troops in Syria, whose main purpose is to plunder the Syrian energy resources, in caravans of hundreds of trucks as blatant occupation troops, regularly exporting to Iraq from “enemy territory“ the national wealth of the Syrian Republic. As well as Syrian wheat and other food products badly needed today in Syria! — Maybe this is what the “peace-loving policy of the European Union“ is all about now, carried out under the supervision of Washington? While also rejecting the results of the current presidential election in Syria, so as to allow the US to continue to plunder Syria with its support?

As for “Europe’s slave dependence on the US,” many politicians and the Western media recognize this fact today, in particular the American publication Foreign Policy, which recently even called on Europe to “move away from it”.

“Assad must go,“ the thesis of the US and its allies in the West, has once again failed. Just as it didn’t work out with Washington’s armed intervention in Syria, the purpose of which was to change power in the Arab Republic by force. However, the West’s refusal to recognize the election results does not mean they will just leave Assad to himself. After all, unlike the faraway United States, the security of the European Union depends directly on the situation in Syria: if there is a crisis in the country, Germany, Britain and Greece will again be flooded with refugees. So far, only Assad has managed to move towards improvements, and Brussels has to reckon with this. Under these conditions, even Assad’s biggest foes are begrudgingly concluding that it’s better to accept reality and work within it, Newsweek notes.

At the behest of the new White House administration, the Pentagon, in the face of growing criticism of American military interventionism in the Middle East in recent years, has decided to adjust its image.

This has become especially important for Washington now that public opinion not only in the United States, in Syria, but also in the UN, after repeated appeals by the Syrian authorities to this international body, has intensified its official accusations of blatant theft of Syrian oil by the US occupation forces. Thirty million dollars a month — that’s how much, according to incomplete expert estimates, the US earns from stealing oil in Syria. The schemes of its supply have long been fine-tuned: the largest deposits are guarded by soldiers of private US military companies and Kurdish militias under the control of the Pentagon. Since the time of illegal exports by terrorists of Daesh (banned in the Russian Federation), Syrian oil has been exported either by the “western route” to Turkish ports on the Mediterranean Sea, or by the “northern route” to the Batman refinery, or by the “eastern route” to the large transshipment base in the settlement of Jizra.

As Syria was liberated from Daesh terrorists, most of the fields east of the Euphrates went under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces and their US handlers, which gave the Kurds control of the fields near the town of al-Haseke and then the Kurds began to share the dividends of this “business” with the Americans. Today, the major fields of Al-Omr and Conoco remain under US and SDF protection.

Continuing to get its hands on Syrian hydrocarbons, at the end of 2020 the US concluded another agreement with Kurdish units controlling areas east of the Euphrates to upgrade the oil fields, which drew criticism not only from Damascus, but also from Turkey. In particular, the Syrian Foreign Ministry called these agreements “theft of Syrian oil under the patronage and support of the US administration.” By and large, the new arrangements were another, but unfortunately not the first blow by Washington to Syrian sovereignty and the territorial integrity of the country. The signing of the agreement to modernize the oil fields was announced by US Senator Lindsey Graham, speaking before the Foreign Affairs Committee of the upper house of Congress. According to Al-Monitor, the work will be carried out by Delta Crescent Energy LLC, a Delaware-based company incorporated in February 2019, whose partners include former diplomats, military officers, and oil field entrepreneurs.

To circumvent its own sanctions, the US delivered oil production equipment to the Kurds itself in Syria. Oil exports are carried out by the US-controlled Sadkab company, created under the so-called Autonomous Administration of Eastern Syria. Proceeds from the smuggling of Syrian oil through the brokerage companies cooperating with Sadkab go to the numbered accounts of PMCs and the US intelligence agencies. So it is not surprising that, earning over $30 million a month without any official American government oversight or taxes, the Pentagon and CIA leadership selflessly guarded and defended oil wells in Syria against the mythical “hidden cells of Daesh.”

Until recently, Washington did not deny the direct involvement of American troops in the protection of oil rigs in the northeastern part of the Arab republic. Moreover, this US mission in the region was cited as one of the most important, along with the completion of the defeat of the remnants of Daesh in this part of the SAR.

So it is not surprising that despite Donald Trump’s previous administration’s statements about the withdrawal of US troops from Syria, the Pentagon was in no hurry to permanently leave its oil-bearing areas, citing the need to supposedly “secure the oil fields from Daesh terrorists.” Moreover, the US has repeatedly moved hundreds of additional US troops from Iraq to Deir ez-Zor province, and recently began building its new air base near that Syrian population center near the Al-Omar oil field. This new project will be the largest US air base in the Arab republic and will house military aviation forces, including heavy transport aircraft. It is quite obvious that with the construction of this air base, the Americans clearly intend to strengthen their military presence not just in Syria, but primarily in its oil-bearing areas.

Amid these circumstances, Syria recently sent a personal message to Joe Biden, calling on the new US President to withdraw troops from the Arab republic and to abandon attempts to illegally exploit its oil resources. Bashar al-Jaafari, SAR’s permanent representative to the UN, voiced this message during a virtual meeting of the UN Security Council on January 20, calling on Washington to immediately change its foreign policy in Syria: “US occupation forces continue to plunder Syria’s wealth of oil, gas and crops, burning and destroying what they cannot steal,” the Syrian diplomat explained. “The new US administration must stop its acts of aggression and occupation, plundering the wealth of my country, withdraw its occupation forces from it and stop supporting separatist militias, illegal entities and attempts to threaten Syrian sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.”

Given the growing dissatisfaction not only in Syria, but also in many other countries with such blatant aggressive and invasive policy of Washington in Syria, the US Department of Defense was forced to issue a statement on February 8 about the alleged adjustment of its activities in the Arab republic.  In particular, it was pointed out that US forces in Syria are allegedly focused on fighting the remnants of the terrorist group Daesh (banned in Russia) and are not protecting the oil fields, as former President Donald Trump had previously ordered. According to Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, US Department of Defense personnel “are not authorized to assist any private company, including its employees or agents, seeking to develop oil resources in Syria.” This is also due to the fact that last year an American company signed a contract with the Kurdish administration in northern Syria “to help develop the oil reserves” of the northeastern part of the Arab republic.

However, it is quite obvious that, apart from declarations, Washington does not intend to change its policy in Syria in the near future and withdraw its military contingent deployed in that country without UN sanctions. In addition to the illegal use of Syrian oil resources, the real objectives of the US  lie on a different plane: to prevent Tehran from strengthening in the region and, as a consequence, creating a threat to Israel. After all, the presence of the US military in areas east of the Euphrates makes overland deliveries from Iran through Iraqi territory to Syria and on to Lebanon (for Hezbollah) extremely difficult, to say the least.

Nine years have already passed since the first anti-government protests of Syria’s civil uprising, the so-called “Arab Spring”, organized from overseas by those pulling the strings in the Middle East and North Africa and broken up by the police. This civil uprising phase is said to have marked the beginning of the Syrian Civil War. According to the Spanish online newspaper Público, the West played a crucial role by intervening in the initial stage of the conflict in the Siege of Daraa, which would lead to the escalation of the Syrian conflict into a full-blown civil war. The newspaper goes on to describe how the United States and their allies armed and bankrolled a tiny minority they called “moderate rebels”, and gave the green light to countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to do the same.

Over the years, the civilian population in Syria have suffered terrible losses, and their country’s infrastructure and economy have been left in ruins. The situation has also been made worse by terrorist activities carried out by DAESH and affiliated militants, as well as openly subversive and aggressive policy of the US, a country which is still trying to use militants and various extremist groups to shamelessly plunder Syria’s national assets and energy resources to this day.

The obsession Ankara later developed with protecting its borders with Syria and preventing the Syrian Kurds from establishing their own state on the border with Turkey did nothing to help stabilize the situation in Syria. The United States, Britain and France actually began to direct their trilateral aggression against Syria under the flimsy pretext of protecting the Syrian people from President Bashar al-Assad’s “apparent chemical weapons attack on civilians.” Saudi Arabia joined them, along with a few other Arab countries that intervened in the Syrian conflict under the pretext of protecting the “Sunni” presence in the face of Iranian “Shiite” expansion, and in order to combat the Iranian influence on Syrian territory.

The measures taken by the international community in conjunction with the Syrian authorities to stabilize the situation in the country and bring an end to the bloodshed did not produce any significant results for a long time. Their only significant achievement was probably the decisive victory over DAESH terrorists in Syria and in the Middle East as a whole, which the Russian Aerospace Forces played a major role in. Now only small scattered groups of DAESH militants are left in Syria, the most notable of them being in Idlib and its immediate surroundings, who the Syrian Armed Forces continue to fight alongside Russian and Turkish soldiers.

A significant recent development in the Syrian peace process was the ceasefire deal signed on March 5 by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who agreed to turn Idlib into a de-escalation zone. The reason why Russia and Turkey decided to intervene at the highest level in the Syrian peace process was due to a sharp escalation in the situation in Idlib, where a large-scale offensive had been launched by the Syrian Army against the armed opposition and terrorists in January. After government forces managed to retake almost half of the Idlib de-escalation zone, leaving a number of Turkish observation posts in their wake, Ankara dramatically increased its military presence in the region and launched operation Spring Shield. In February, at least 62 Turkish soldiers were killed, almost 100 soldiers were left wounded, several dozen Turkish armored vehicles were destroyed, and more than a dozen drones were shot down, including armed drones.

The meeting between the Turkish and Russian presidents has shown that the Turkish leader is able to cooperate constructively, and that a peaceful settlement may only be reached in Syria if the interests of all parties are taken into account, who need to focus on ending the conflict as soon as possible. No one wants any more lives to be lost. In order to prevent more casualties in the Turkish Armed Forces, Russia has expressed a desire to work together with Turkey. Russia’s firm stance on Idlib does not mean that Moscow is unwilling to consider Ankara’s interests “on the ground”. At the same time, Moscow makes it perfectly clear to international players that constructive cooperation with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in international and bilateral formats is a prerequisite and the only way to resolve the Syrian conflict.

Most of Syria has now been recaptured by the Syrian government. The terrorists have only been left with a small part of Idlib province in the North of the country where they are still holding on. The US continues to occupy a zone around Al-Tanf in southern Syria where the Rukban refugee camp is located and living conditions are dire. Turkish and Russian forces are carrying out joint military patrols along one of the most important sections of the M4 motorway in Syria, which links the cities of Aleppo and Latakia. Thanks to the agreement between Ankara and Moscow, this zone is now safe. Up until recently, the highway was controlled by militants.

The Russian and Syrian governments are still working to find a non-military solution to the war in Syria and to provide comprehensive assistance to help the Syrian people restore peaceful life. Since the Syrian peace process began, the Russian military has conducted 2416 humanitarian aid operations in Syria, delivering 4,016.54 tons worth of material humanitarian aid to Syrians over this period, and Russian military medics have provided medical assistance to 132,598 Syrians.

The Syrian Army’s military engineers have performed mine clearance operations in the settlements of Douma (Damascus province), Jasim and al-Harra (Daraa province).

As a result of all these operations, Syrian refugees have begun returning to areas that had still been occupied by militants up until recently. On 24 March alone, 61 refugees returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from neighboring countries. Life has also resumed in the suburbs of Palmyra since the city was liberated, although much work still needs to be done to restore the local infrastructure. Refugees from the Rukban refugee camp have also begun returning to Palmyra, after they had been made to pay for tents, food and medicine in the camp controlled by US forces and southern Syrian militants, and some say they were even coerced into joining the ranks of an anti-government militia.

As part of the ongoing peace process in Syria, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has issued a decree granting a general amnesty on the territory of the country in order to encourage terrorist groups to lay down their weapons and offering terrorists a chance to have their actions pardoned. They either choose to lay down their weapons and live peacefully, or their actions will be deemed a rejection of the Syrian peaceful process.

The agreements reached when the presidents of Russia and Turkey met in person on March 5 and the measures that have since been taken based on these agreements offer us some hope that an early solution may be found to finally bring peace to Syria. This will of course not only depend greatly on the official government of the Syrian Arab Republic, but also on external actors and their willingness both to provide constructive humanitarian support for Bashar al-Assad’s government during this difficult chapter in the country’s history, and to band together with the entire international community to help rebuild Syria.

Автор вспоминает, как во время одного из визитов в Дамаск с делегацией американских военных ветеранов он наблюдал, как роскошное кафе в центре города ожидало прибытия важных гостей, в виду чего представителям всех присутствующих там делегаций отказывали в обслуживании до их прибытия. Наконец они прибыли – около дюжины исхудалых солдат в поношенной форме с побитыми “калашниками” в руках.

Тогда автор увидел то, что не видел много десятилетий, с самой Вьетнамской войны – измученные лица, с которых не сходила уверенная улыбка. Сама трапеза этих солдат не заняла более пяти минут, после чего они отбыли, чтобы снова оборонять подступы к Дамаску.

Автор отмечает, что все попытки западных СМИ как-то подорвать веру простых сирийцев в Башара аль-Асада выглядят, по крайне мере, жалко, поскольку эти люди, готовые в любой момент сложить голову за свою страну, – это и есть Сирия.

К сожалению, несмотря на то, что многие американцы отважно сражались в различных вооруженных конфликтах, их нельзя назвать героями, да и сами себя они так не называют. Поскольку герой – это человек, ставший на защиту своего дома. А для американского военного не является тайной, кто здесь на самом деле “злодей”, пришедший убивать чужих отцов, братьев и сыновей.

И в этом заключается трагедия американского общества, уверен автор. В том, что оно дало местным олигархиям использовать его ради своей непомерной жажды наживы.

И пока это не прекратится, американских солдат будут и дальше считать преступниками, а не героями…

Как отмечает в своей новой статье ветеран боевых действий США Гордон Даф, все еще пока действующий американский президент Дональд Трамп подписал законопроект, обвиняющий Москву и Дамаск в “целенаправленном убийстве сирийского мирного населения” и “организации десятков газовых атак”.

Стоит отметить, что произошло это в тот момент, когда российские и сирийские войска находятся в одном шаге от освобождения сирийской территории от последних остатков спонсируемых Вашингтоном боевиков из таких запрещенных в России террористических организаций, как Аль-Каида и ДАИШ.

В этой ситуации подобный законопроект не только подвергает еще большим страданиям сирийский народ, надеющийся на мир после длинного и разрушительного конфликта, но и является плевком в сторону Москвы со стороны президентской администрации США. Все это выглядит тем более странным, учитывая, что Россия не предпринимала никаких шагов, которые могли бы помочь Демократической партии США “сковырнуть” Дональда Трампа, а могла бы.

Совершенно очевидно, потерпевший поражение в своей “большой войне” в Сирии, Вашингтон теперь всеми правдами и неправдами стремится обеспечить себе место за переговорным столом по вопросу сирийского урегулирования, хотя ему-то там точно не место. Для этого он использует “материалы”, которые некий “безымянный перебежчик” предоставил США.

“Материалы” – это пятьдесят тысяч фотографий, которые были сделаны неизвестно где и кем, большинство из которых подверглось обработке в различных графических редакторах, если верить независимым экспертам.

Автор отмечает, что Министерство юстиции Сирии долгое время собирало доказательства против террористов, орудующих на сирийской земле и, судя по всему, часть сделанных им фотографий были украдены и отредактированы, чтобы затем оказаться в досье “неизвестного перебежчика”.

В любом случае попытки использовать подобные “улики” для обличения Москвы и Сирии выглядят жалко, поскольку они никоим образом не могут скрыть истинных мотивов Дональда Трампа.

Как отмечает в своей новой статье ветеран боевых действий США Гордон Даф, во многом травля боевого ветерана Тулси Габбард – единственного достойного кандидата на будущих президентских выборах в США, была нацелена на тот факт, что в 2017 году она совершила поездку в Сирию, чтобы провести встречу с сирийским лидером Башаром Асадом.

И хотя это не является причиной этой травли, поскольку причиной здесь стал тот факт, что госпожа Габбард выступает за прекращение финансирования Вашингтоном международного терроризма, окончание американских войн в самых разных уголках света и возвращение солдат домой должно больно ударить по карману военно-промышленного комплекса США.

Тем не менее, несмотря на то, что травля её не обусловлена её встречей с сирийским президентом, в вину ей вменяется именно это.

А между тем именно Асад, вернее, руководимая им сирийская армия, приняла на себя главный удар в борьбе с запрещенной в России террористической организацией ДАИШ. А у Вашингтона были большие планы на эту террористическую организацию, выпестованную ЦРУ, МИ-6 и Моссадом, в частности, подчинение ей всех сирийских и иракских территорий, а также тайное вооружение её ядерным оружием.

А теперь, внимание, вопрос: неужели кто-то из американских граждан действительно думает, что подобная радикальная сила не представляла бы угрозу для Соединенных Штатов?

Именно по этой причине, уверен автор, каждый американец должен благодарить Башара Асада за мирное небо над головой, а не травить своих боевых ветеранов за связи с ним.

Позволить Вашингтону участвовать в мирных переговорах было бы так же абсурдно, как подключить поджигателя к тушению бушующего пожара!

Впрочем, современная политика Вашингтона стала настолько неприкрыто преступной, что западные журналисты не знают, каких еще экспертов искать, чтобы те объяснили, на каких основаниях Соединенные Штаты используют свои вооруженные силы для воровства чужой нефти.

Между тем, Сирия и её ближайшие союзники – Москва и Тегеран – уже не раз давали Вашингтону возможность “сохранить лицо”, убравшись из Сирии восвояси. Однако американские политтехнологи упрямо отказываются признать поражение своих преступных замыслов, всячески оттягивая начало восстановления сирийской экономики.

В этой связи, уверен автор, если Соединенные Штаты все еще хотят выступать в роли “миротворцев”, то они должны немедленно убраться из Сирии в надежде, что об их преступлениях там скоро забудут. В противном случае альтернативные СМИ будут и дальше жечь их каленым железом правды.

Автор всегда гордился тем фактом, что он служил в американской армии, однако со многими из тех, кто сегодня имеет честь называться американским военнослужащим, генерал Джордж Смит Паттон, известный своим крутым нравом, церемониться бы не стал.

Еще больше автора удручает тот факт, что обвинения с него были сняты из-за того, что полевой медик из отряда Галлахера взял вину на себя, сказав, что “задушил пленного в виду необходимости”.

Стоит ли удивляться, что многие американские аналитики с ужасом отмечают, что нынешние американские военнослужащие в полной мере подтверждают все те ужасы, которые рассказывают о них пропагандисты запрещенной в России террористической группировки ДАИШ.

А между тем, западные СМИ все это мало беспокоит, коль скоро можно и дальше раздувать скандал с Дональдом Трампом, как если бы Хантер Байден всю жизнь готовил себя к роли главы украинской энергетической компании, которая в 2017 году подписала договор об антикоррупционной деятельности с Североатлантическим альянсом!

Теперь вот еще стало известно, что Байден-старший получил сумму почти в миллион долларов за то, чтобы надавить на украинские власти и не дать им расследовать деятельность возглавляемой его сыном компании!

Когда люди вроде Байдена командуют людьми вроде Галлахера, как мы можем надеяться на то, что те глобальные процессы, которые происходят на нашей планете, в том числе связанные и с изменением климата, могут быть решены?

С кем прикажете договариваться? С людьми, которые ведут себя как террористы, либо же уже стали террористами?

Как подчеркивает в своей новой статье американский публицист Рон Генри, инсинуации на тему мнимого применения Дамаском химоружия против собственного народа стали неотъемлемой частью политики североатлантических союзников в Сирии и на Ближнем Востоке в целом.

Публикуя фейковую информацию «Белых касок» и даже подключая к этой информационной войне международные организации, США и их союзники стремятся тем самым оправдать последующие западные военные интервенции, о чем достаточно убедительно написал  TruthDig :

«В 2007 году журналист Джеймс Бэмфорд вспомнил, как американцы подвергались «длинной череде раздутых и мошеннических историй, которые в конечном итоге подтолкнули бы США к войне с Ираком – первой войне, основанной почти полностью на пропагандистской кампании в СМИ». Грязная война с Сирией представляет собой продолжение этой стратегии, когда основные средства массовой информации работают рука об руку с такими организациями, как «Белые каски» для обеспечения общественной поддержки новой войны за смену режима».

Что же касается кампании по манипулированию нарративами против сирийского правительства, то она исторически беспрецедентна по своей глубине и масштабу. От публикации заказных статей в подконтрольных СМИ до CNN, устраивающего фальшивое интервью, в котором семилетняя сирийская девочка обвиняет Асада в химической атаке, или поддельного документального фильма BBC «Спасение детей Сирии».

Ярким подтверждением этому являются появившиеся новые свидетельства, опровергающие недостоверные и явно сфабрикованные выводы Организации по запрещению химического оружия (ОЗХО) о предполагаемом химическом нападении 2018 года в г. Дума (Сирия) с использованием ядовитого хлора.

Вне всякого сомнения, подобные нечистоплотные публикации западных СМИ, как и итоги «расследования» отдельных международных чиновников по событиям в Сирии, лишь еще более отталкивают здравомыслящее международное общественное мнение от подобных «источников информации».

Как отмечает в своей статье постоянный обозреватель НВО Салман Рафи, пока американцы продолжают упрямо отказываться уходить из Сирии, международные обозреватели изо всех сил пытаются понять, так кто же в итоге победил в Сирии?

Без сомнений, мир вернулся далеко еще не во все сирийские города и поселения. Но путем последовательной работы в деле установления мира Дамаск и его союзники, вне всяких сомнений, смогут добиться решительного перелома ситуации.

Хотя Анкара и продолжает контролировать зону безопасности в Сирии, вызывая раздражение у сирийских официальных лиц, делать она это может лишь согласуя свои действия с российской военной полицией. Это создает необходимость взаимодействия и установления более тесных дипломатических отношений между Москвой и Анкарой.

Благодаря упрямому терпению российских дипломатов, Турция уже прошла путь от заявлений о том, что “Асад должен уйти” до заверений в приверженности делу сохранения территориальной целостности сирийского государства! Здесь просто нужно еще немного потерпеть.

Та же самая мысль относится и к американским военным, которые продолжают оставаться в Сирии нелегально, а потому не могут находиться там бесконечно. Американский воинский контингент уже значительно сокращен и никакими уловками США не смогут осуществить свою мечту о сохранении влияния на формирование следующего сирийского правительства.

Проще говоря, Москва и Дамаск уже победили, но для того, чтобы оформить эту победу в реальные политические дивиденды, нужно время и терпение.
